￥Take this drum pack to the emergency room. Symptoms include crackly textures, punchy kicks, crisp snares, and sizzling hi hats. By injecting these sounds with both modern and vintage elements we created some dynamic and intoxicating drums. The records we’ve collected over the years acted as our catalyst, and we layered each loop with its own unique crackle. We also fused synthetic kicks and snares with acoustic kicks and snares from our drum recordings.

With focused eq’ing, compression, and distortion, this layering strategy provided the foundation for blending otherwise contrasting styles. Along with the sonics, this pack offers a diversity of rhythms played from an actual drummer. It’s the humanistic elements and happy accidents that give these drum loops their groove….Think cool introvert playing dusty records in his small apt and cranking the volume until the walls collapse….
