Jake Baldwin is an award-winning trumpet player from Minneapolis. He is a graduate of the New England Conservatory Music and a former performing member of The Love Experiment, who have multiple sample packs on Splice (he’s featured on Luv Pack vol. 1 and Mystic Soul). In 2010 he placed 3rd in the International Trumpet Guild’s Jazz Trumpet Competition, placed 2nd in the 2013 National Trumpet Competition’s Jazz division and more recently he was a finalist in the 2019 Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Competition. He can be found performing with groups from every genre including the Minnesota Orchestra, pop artist Har Mar SuperStar, and his own quartet. Jake has recorded for a multitude of artists including: Cory Wong, Nathy Peluso, Allan Kingdom and has done music for the TV show Archer. He recently joined the legendary jazz vocal quartet The Four Freshmen as 3rd part singer and trumpeter. His goal with this sample pack is to draw from the wide variety of influences from his life in order to give you some horns that spark your imagination.
