With the multi-track session of gritty rock anthem ‘R U Mine’ by The Artic Monkeys, Blake demonstrates his creative techniques of harmonic enhancement to infuse raw recordings with character. Focussing primarily on drums, he discusses and shows his approach to treating the kick, snare, and full kit with distortion, compression, expansion, phase alteration, pitch-bending, and EQ. Aside from revealing some of his favourite plug-ins and their parameters, Tchad emphasises the creative scope that can be explored by altering phase relationships and shelf EQ.
