Deep House project Waterm\u00e4t is the brainchild of French DJ and producer Laurent Arriau. Born in the early \u201980s and brought up in Paris, Arriau developed an affinity for music at an early age. He learned how to play the guitar and piano and listened to everything he could get his hands on from Michael Jackson to Guns N\u2019 Roses. After being switched onto the house music scene by Daft Punk, he learned how to DJ and produce electronic music. He studied science for two years before working in production for several important French pop acts. Initially preferring anonymity, he remained a backroom figure until he decided to create his own music and left Paris for the south of France in 2012.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Once he started uploading his music to Soundcloud, Arriau quickly picked up a substantial following. This slew of early recordings culminated in his breakout single \u201cBullit,\u201d which Spinnin\u2019 Records released as a single in June 2014. The song has since been played out by many of the world\u2019s top DJs, including Pete Tong and Ti\u00ebsto, and swiftly became an anthem. It also charted in several European countries, peaking as high as #6 on Belgium\u2019s Flemish Ultratop chart.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

In this exclusive one-on-one studio session, Arriau will spend nearly four hours showing you how he makes a track from scratch. Starting with nothing but a simple template, you\u2019ll see Arriau do it all-from programming a foundational chord progression to a comprehensive look at the capabilities of automation, truly no stone is left unturned.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
