It ruled Berlin until its hard edges were stripped away in favor of minimal techno\u2019s lean layers and abstracted elements. Minimal developed, too, and its sparse percussion melded with polished grooves and pulsing synths to create the atmospheric, ethereal techno of contemporary Berlin. Tuned drum sounds and production-ready patterns converge with MASSIVE and MONARK sub-bass, drone presets and analog synth pads to pack a powerful punch, while field recordings from Berlin give the expansion an authentic atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>ABOUT TORSTEN FASSBENDER<\/strong><br \/>Torsten Fassbender is the co-founder of progressive trance duo Wellenrausch, and his productions and remixes are heard on dancefloors around the world. He began writing music at a young age, eventually building a home studio and delving into the world of MIDI synths. For DEEP MATTER, Fassbender channeled a more experimental side \u2013 as seen in his side project Kymatik \u2013 influenced by a love of tech house, deep house, and electronica.
