Nicholas holds a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Jazz Guitar Performance with a minor in Harmony from the Berklee College of Music. However, to get the most out of the following lessons, you\u2019ll need to have some basic theory under your belt.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>At a minimum, you should know an intermediate-level of:<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>open and moveable chord shapes<\/li>\n<li>basic embellishments (like hammer-ons and pull-offs)<\/li>\n<li>common blues and rock progressions<\/li>\n<li>the numbers system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Knowing major scale modes will be helpful, but you don\u2019t need to know melodic minor modes.
