Then, this course demonstrates these concepts on the Ableton piano roll (the built-in MIDI editor inside Ableton).<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>The course teaches how major and minor scales are derived, relative major and minor scales, using Roman numerals, arpeggios and even some common chord progressions. However, we\u2019ll also see how Ableton\u2019s MIDI devices can be used to create unusual arpeggiator patterns, create chords from single notes and constrain all MIDI to a single key (using the Scale MIDI device). This course is intended for Ableton users, but the topics relate to music theory just as much.
